Why This Matters

There’s been a lot of discussion — and a lot of confusion — about the town’s financial situation. These sessions are an important chance to:

  • Hear directly from town leadership
  • Ask detailed questions about the budget
  • Understand what the override would fund
  • Separate fact from rumor

Whether you support the override, oppose it, or are still undecided, getting accurate information is critical.

What to Expect

Residents can engage directly with town officials in one-on-one or small group settings.

Topics expected to be covered may include:

  • The current budget shortfall
  • Cost drivers like special education, health insurance, and fixed expenses
  • What services are at risk without additional funding
  • How the override would be implemented

This is a chance to go beyond headlines and social media posts and really dig into the details.

A Valuable Opportunity for Residents

South Hadley’s financial challenges didn’t happen overnight — and they won’t be solved with a single conversation. But these sessions are a meaningful step toward transparency and community understanding.

If you’ve had questions about the budget, this is one of the best opportunities to get answers straight from the source.
